Ok once you get your file onto your computer, this is what you need to do.
1. Get the picture hosted. By using one of your host, or our own free uploader here.

2. Click browse and find the picture you would like to upload, the click upload,
3. In a few moments you will see a link in a box on the top of the page copy that link.
4. Then go into your user control pannel, and click on edit signiture(first link on the left hand side).
5.Put this first [img]then your link in here(no spaces) follwed by this[/img]
6. Your done to make sure your sig works go and find an old post of yours and make sure your sig worked.
Also, you can only use .jpg .gif, and .png when using pictures on the forums, no .bmp's
To convert BMPs, just open it up in paint and re-save it as the filename.jpg
